Frequently Asked Questions

1) Why did you start the Actors Resource Center?

As a former Hollywood Agent and Career Coach, I know how difficult it can be to pursue an acting career. But WHAT you do and HOW you do it can often mean the difference between success and failure.

The idea for the Actors Resource Center® first came about during one of my workshop events. My clients were so thrilled by their experience, and by the results they achieved, that they wanted a way to stay connected with each other, in order to help keep their momentum going!

At first, we tried staying in touch via email and other online forums, but it was neither practical, nor convenient. Next we explored the idea of connecting via conference calls, which was great, but my clients wanted even more: more information, more coaching, and more connection with each other. Thus the Actors Resource Center® was born!

2) Why should I become a member of the Actors Resource Center?

If you’re an actor who’s serious about working in this industry, this is THE PLACE where you can connect with other like-minded individuals who feel the same way you do, and who can help you grow both personally and professionally.

I started this website with the hope that it will become THE ONLINE RESOURCE for actors just like yourself who are looking for resources that can help you move forward in your career, no matter where you live in the world.

By becoming a member today, you’re not only choosing to be one of the Charter Members of this groundbreaking program, but you’re also making a statement to the universe that you’re committed to your own success. Congratulations!

3) I’m just starting out in my career. How will membership in the Actors Resource Center help me?

For those of you just starting out in your career, this is the PERFECT place to start connecting with other actors and other industry professionals.

Take time to read through the forums to see what kinds of information other people are sharing and what kinds of questions they’re asking, as you can learn a lot just by paying attention to what other people are saying.

Also, make sure you post your own questions, as well. Please remember that whether you have no credits at all, or just a few credits, everyone starts their career from the very same place: The Beginning!

4) I’ve been acting for a while now and know a lot about the business. Why should I join the Actors Resource Center?

Did you know that the four most dangerous words in the English language are "I already know that?"

So for those of you who have been in this industry for a while, I would like to challenge you to: (a) Remember what it felt like when you were just starting your career, and share your wisdom and your experience with those who are new to the business; (b) Be open to relearning something you may "already know," because seeing or hearing it in a different way may just be the push you need to get to the next level with your career.

5) What is the fee to join the Actors Resource Center?

Right now, membership in the Actors Resource Center® is FREE, but it may not always stay that way, so make sure you JOIN TODAY, to get in at the ground level!

6) What will I get out of becoming a member of the Actors Resource Center?

Honestly, you’ll get out of your membership exactly what you put into it because no one can pursue your career but you.

And while reading an acting book; going to networking events or taking a class or workshop is great for getting lots of information, unfortunately it’s NOT ENOUGH to keep you motivated and moving forward. (Believe me, as an actor, I know how hard it is to stay motivated when your agent isn’t calling, the auditions aren’t coming and nothing seems to be working.)

The KEY to LONG-TERM growth and SUCCESS is consistently concentrating your time, energy and efforts on high pay-off activities, while continually leveraging every opportunity that comes your way and staying focused on the END-RESULT. One of the best ways to do this is by joining a Mastermind Network.

Napoleon Hill, author of the must-read business book Think and Grow Rich, defines a mastermind like this: “A mastermind is the harmonious alliance of two or more minds that create a friendly environment to gather, classify and organize new information for fast and effective implementation.”

Participating in a mastermind network like the Actors Resource Center® can be one of the most powerful experiences you’ll ever have, because when you connect with even just one other like-minded actor who is focused on their own acting career success, your energy, enthusiasm and commitment to your career will not only double, but will multiply tenfold!

7) What are the benefits of membership in the Actors Resource Center?

Being a member of the Actors Resource Center® will enable you to:

  • Connect with other success-minded actors who are also seriously committed to their acting careers
  • Get honest, straightforward industry information without the B.S.
  • Share your success with others
  • Get support and encouragement from your peers
